OQ Chemicals contributes to the production of automotive fluids that are cleaner, more efficient and kinder to both equipment and the environment.

OQ Chemicals’ Carboxylic Acids and Polyols can be found in synthetic polyol ester base oils as engine oil additives for enhancing automotive lubricant performance. These Group V base oils improve lubricity, cleanliness, seal compatibility and biodegradability.

Low viscous base oils help OEMs to achieve fuel economy targets.

Dielectric fluids made from biodegradable synthetic polyol ester base oils provide temperature control for electronic vehicle battery systems and super charging stations. Liquid immersion cooling with dielectric fluids is effective in removing heat from the battery cell.

OQ Chemicals’ 2-Ethylhexanoic acid and Isononanoic Acid are used as corrosion inhibitors in automotive engine coolants.

Oxvolt

Oxvolt is a new brand name embracing all the dedicated products for the growing e-mobility market. Oxvolt S221 in particular is used as an additive to optimize the production process of electrodes for Li-ion batteries. It specifically reduces the risk of crack formation in electrodes with a high thickness to achieve high energy densities in a water based coating process.

Oxlube L7-NPG

Oxlube L7-NPG was specifically developed to help improve the performance and efficiency of electric vehicles (EV). It enables lubricant manufacturers to formulate optimized e-driveline lubricants that have low viscosity, a high flash point, and are readily biodegradable. Because of the low friction, lubricants based on Oxlube L7-NPG can contribute to higher energy efficiency and reduced wear and maintenance. In cooling applications such as e-motor cooling, Oxlube L7-NPG shows excellent thermal and dielectric properties as well as high oxidative and hydrolytic stability.
